This position is an entry level test engineer to support the design and development team through testing of component changes with fundamental knowledge of automotive service equipment. This position is an onsite position working full time at our LaVergne, TN headquarters Monday-Friday.
Run testing and validation on components and final products
Develop test specifications, environments, customer focused testing, and test cases for all mechanical, software, and electrical systems
Analyze test patterns, trends, and outlying data in test results, identify issues, assist in determining root causes
Make recommendations for fixes and improvements in components and materials
Strong communication and documentation skills, especially for translating technical issues into actionable recommendations for non-engineering stakeholders
Build automated testing systems for development and production release
Ensure our products and procedures meet industry standards (e.g. UL / CUL / CSA / FDA)
Conducting field tests or analyzing feedback from end users to improve product functionality and reliability
Maintain positive and effective working relationships with all team members
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
0-2 years of experience in test engineering role.
Demonstrated knowledge and initiative in performing various aspects of the design process.
CAD/CAE software knowledge for evaluating test results against design models (e.g., Creo, Soldiworks, ANSYS)
Must have strong analytical skills.
Familiarity with software tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, or Python for test automation and data analysis
Knowledge of quality systems / reliability engineering as related to product design is desired.
Familiarity with statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for reliability and quality control assessments
