Benefits: Leave of Absence Analyst
The Benefits: Leave of Absence Analyst is a key member of the HR Team, responsible for delivering best-in-class benefits services to employees and maintaining competitive benefit offerings in alignment with market trends. This role operates in a hybrid environment, requiring three days in the office and two days working from home (subject to change based on business needs).
Key Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration
Source and manage vendors for benefits plans, including medical, vision, dental, HSA/FSA, legal plans, EAP, and others.
Monitor market competitiveness and gather employee feedback to enhance total rewards offerings.
Administer 401(k) plans with Fidelity, including compliance and communication.
Collaborate with Finance and HR Leadership on budgetary planning and financial impact of benefits programs.
Lead annual Open Enrollment, including planning, communication, and employee information sessions.
Create and communicate benefit materials; address employee inquiries, and resolve benefit-related issues.
Facilitate benefits onboarding during New Hire Orientation and ensure timely completion of required paperwork.
HRIS Management
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for ADP Workforce Now, ensuring optimal system utilization.
Perform system updates, including new hire entries, record changes, terminations, LOA information, and bulk pay adjustments.
Upload merit files and manage system reporting for compliance and HR needs.
Leave of Absence (LOA) Management
Oversee all aspects of LOA, including answering employee questions, processing paperwork, and making approval/denial decisions.
Establish standardized communication templates and internal policies for LOAs.
Partner with STD/LTD vendors to process and manage disability claims.
Differentiate LOA procedures for union versus non-union employees per collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
Collaborate with the EHS Manager to address intersections between LOAs and Workers’ Compensation claims.
Maintain compliance with state and federal leave laws and monitor updates.
Track and manage benefit premium payments during LOAs and ensure accurate system updates.
Administrative Support
Provide back-up support for the HR Coordinator as needed.
Perform appropriate filing and ensure record accuracy.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
5+ years of HR experience with a focus on benefits, compensation, and HRIS management.
Demonstrated expertise in LOA administration, including familiarity with state and federal leave laws.
Advanced Excel skills.
Proven ability to handle sensitive information and complex employee situations with professionalism.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task effectively.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and tasks.
Preferred
Experienced with ADP Workforce Now.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
