The hands-on Senior Network Administrator maintains and supports the computing environment, monitors and protects the network, and resolves or coordinates IT equipment–related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and support networks and servers
- Maintain and oversee the Helpdesk.
- Monitor system stability and performance; troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Administer Windows Servers and domain services (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO)
- Administer critical cloud infrastructure such as Azure, Entra, AWS
- Manage wired and wireless networks (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, WLCs, WAPs)
- Support VoIP systems and data circuits (broadband, fiber, Internet)
- Maintain virtual and hyper-converged infrastructure
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity, backup, and disaster recovery policies
- Manage Office 365 policies and administration
- Provide end-user support for workstations and peripherals, including desktop phones, thermal and laser printers, and laser scanners
- Work with vendors and implement new technologies
- Train and mentor team members
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Data center and technical management experience
- Ability to coordinate with staff and stakeholders
- Experience with Scale Computing, Fortinet, and VMware
Education & Experience
- 5+ years of IT networking experience required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Certifications and continuous education recommended
