Temporary Accounts Payable Associate
We are seeking a Temporary Accounts Payable Associate to support our team for an estimated few months, with the potential for extended time based on business need. In this role, you will assist with processing transactions, managing accounts payable, sorting mail, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations. The position will be working onsite in our LaVergne, TN office Monday-Friday 7:30-4:30pm.
What You Will Do
- Process invoices, credits, and payments received via mail or email.
- Work in accounts payable shared mailbox and file documents efficiently.
- Ensure proper authorization, GL coding, and accurate processing of payments (check, ACH, wire, etc.).
- Apply available discounts and maintain AP check positive pay exceptions.
- Review and process invoices for sales tax, month-end accruals, and reporting.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, along with performing miscellaneous tasks as needed.
- Assist with system updates, cash management, and month-end closing procedures.
Who You Are
- At least 2-3 years of accounts payable experience.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, temporary work environment.
- Experience with AS400/PRMS and manufacturing environments is a plus.
