The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern will gain hands-on experience applying environmental, health, and safety principles within a production environment. This role supports day-to-day EHS operations, compliance efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with the EHS Manager and cross-functional teams. The intern will contribute to projects that promote regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support daily activities to ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and company standards
  • Assist with updating Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Lockout/Tagout procedures using Brady 360
  • Participate in routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments in production and field service environments
  • Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
  • Support the continuous improvement of the Field Service Safety Program
  • Track and analyze EHS metrics and assist with preparing reports and dashboards
  • Assist with maintaining EHS documentation, files, and records
  • Support regulatory compliance activities aligned with Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements
  • Assist with development and delivery of EHS training materials and safety communications
  • Participate in emergency preparedness activities and safety meetings
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments to support EHS objectives
  • Promote safety awareness by assisting with communications and follow-up on corrective actions
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the EHS Manager

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • Exposure or coursework in environmental, industrial hygiene, or safety disciplines preferred
  • Basic understanding of occupational safety principles and regulatory requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing and field service environment
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
